Africa nature defines a volunteer as a person who willingly offers his or her skills, knowledge, expertise and time to undertake activities that enhance the mission of Africa Nature, often without pay or with minimal financial support.
Africa Nature accepts volunteers for the ages of 18 years and above. There are no specific requirements in terms of education and experience, but their absorption into the volunteer programme will heavily depend on the need, specific skills required and number of applicants. The duration for volunteering is between 1 week and 3 months.
Interns
These are undergraduate and graduate students who want to work, or do some research under Africa Nature. Internship are opportunities are offered to those who want to accomplish their academic work. A support letter from a recognized academic institution is a requirement. The duration for internship is not more than 3 months.
Gap years
Gap year volunteers are those who have finished high school, graduate and undergraduate courses or those who are taking a career break. The program runs from 1 week to 3 months.
Group volunteers
A group of volunteers could be a couple of friends, family, church members and coworkers. Many corporate companies offer their employees a chance to volunteer as part of their corporate social responsibility. The groups can be as large as 15 people. The group can volunteer for not more than 3 months

Once we receive your application, we will send to you specific information about your preferred field of work. We will also send to you a volunteer agreement form, which you can sign and reattach to us or sign upon reporting to our offices before commencement of your volunteer work.
